AIRPRO DENSIMETER - For Professional Engine Tuners

The Importance of Air Density in Engine Performance

Standard engineering charts clearly demonstrate how air temperature and barometric pressure impact engine power output. Maximum engine power is directly proportional to “air density,” provided the fuel/air ratio remains consistent. If the fuel/air ratio becomes too rich or too poor, the reduction in power output is significantly greater.

what Parameters are displayed?

  • Date & Time
  • Air Temperature - Celsius of Fahrenheit
  • Barometric Pressure hPa
  • Relative altitude mt / ft
  • Relative Humidity %
  • Air Density - Kg/m3 - lb/ft3

what does air density indicate?

In technical terms, air density represents the amount of air mass present per unit of volume in a given environment. It is influenced by three main factors:

  • Atmospheric Pressure: Higher atmospheric pressure compresses air molecules, increase density.
  • Air Temperature: Higher Temperature expand air molecules, reducing density, while lower temperature increase it.
  • relative Humidity: Humid air is less dens than air dry.

Air Density in Motorsport

Is a critical parameter because:

  • It determines the amount of oxygen available for combustion in engines.
  • It directly affects carburetion and the air-fuel ratio, which in turn impacts engine power.

Download all Sessions

You can store up to 50 sessions in the instrument. In addition to reviewing the sessions directly on the device, you can download all the data to the app.

All sessions will be linked to the track where the measurements were taken. You can also add notes to each session, such as “Carburetor Tuning #1.”

You can export the sessions as PDF files, allowing you to print them or share them with your team members.

Additionally, you can export all the data to an Excel sheet for further analysis.
